My name is Jo I am in my 20s and officially a makeup beauty Addict. I have always loved playing with makeup. However It was at the beginning of this year that I finally discovered my passion. I first got into makeup in a big way when I searched for something on Youtube. I typed in the search and found all these girls talking about and experimenting with makeup. From that day on I was hooked. I have made a couple of really good friends on youtube who encouraged me to start blogging. So as I am unable to make videos myself here I am. It's early days but I have some interesting things to come. If you have anything to say about any of my posts please feel free to leave a comment. Thanks Jo x

Body Shop Purchases

I bought these things a while ago and again I completely forgot to upload them to my blog. So finally here they are.

Vitamin E Face Mist

I got this because Becky (Aka Sirvinya) uses it to wet her brush to apply shadows and I thought this would be easier than using Mac's Fix+. So far I really like it.

Black Velvet Apricot Shower Gel

I didn't really NEED another Shower Gel...I have a ton of Snow fairy's but I got this as I thought it would be nice to use when I feel like a change.

I had wanted a brown mascara for a while and I saw if I bought 2 Makeup Products I could get a free Mascara. (This was a while ago so offer probably isn't available now sorry).

One of the two makeup products I bought was a glitter liner which I didn't bother to photograph because I don't like it.

If you want want a glitter liner go for the Collection 2000 Glam Crystals. They are much better and cheaper. I may see if i can find it and do a Comparison one day.

The other thing I got free was a single eyeshadow Its a kind of grey black colour...very pretty, it reminds me of what I THINK Knight Devine by mac would look like. Although it may be nothing like it. I don't have it yet so I cant compare. What do you reckon? Comment below :)

The other Makeup Item I bought was my first Shimmer Cube.

I really like this and I will probably get more one day. Well thats everything I purchased at The Body Shop.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know if you want me to go into more detail about any of the products in the comments.

Warm And Cozy + Love Lace Forgotten Purchases

I purchased 5 shadows from these 2 collections. Two from Warm and Cozy and 3 from Love Lace. I will start with the two from Warm and Cozy.

Mulled Cider Now for the Love Lace Shadows.

Suave Intention

Love Lace

Forgotten LOTD

This is a LOTD I did AGES ago that I completely FORGOT TO POST!!!!! (Slap wrist)
Unfortunately I can't tell you what I am wearing because it was a long time ago. It looks a bit like Smoke and Diamonds to me but like i said I dont know sorry lol.

I will try to have a play around and try to recreate it. If I figure out what I used I will let you all know.
Unfortunately this is the 1st of a few 'Forgotten posts' Lol. (I know i have been slacking sorry again.)
I know this is a bit of a pathetic excuse for a post but this is the easiest way of posting lots in one go that I should have posted ages ago lol.
If u don't like this idea let me know in the comments

Benefit Update: EXCITING!!!

I haven't Posted here for a while. Sorry about that. I have some new things i need to post about at some point soon Plus some LOTD's I am planning, but 1st I thought it was time I updated you on a recent Post I did regarding Benefit Cosmetics.

Most of you will have seen my post on the disappointing experience I had at a Benefit counter recently, for those of you that haven't and don't have a clue what I am on about click on this link and all will be revealed.

I had loads of comments on that post telling me I should complain to Benefit, I was in two minds for a while because really do not like making a fuss, however after chatting to numerous friends I finally decided to email Benefit.

The lady I needed to talk to was away on Annual Leave when I emailed so I had to wait for her to get back to work before I knew what they were going to do about the situation.

Yesterday and today I have been emailing back and forth with this Lovely Lady called Jane. She has been very helpful and arranged for me and my Mum (who was with me at the time of the bad experience) to have a 'Makeup Experience to Remember.'

This involves going to my local Benefit BOUTIQUE and having a Free Makeup Lesson with the Manager and Assistant Manager. (I assume one will be looking after me and one looking after Mum.)

Jane also said this would include samples and I could have a look at some of the products I was interested in. I will be taking some money with me so I can buy a few things while I am there.

I did ask If I would be able to take a camera with me to photograph the whole experience so I could show all of you what happened on the day..Unfortunately I am not allowed to do this.

Despite this I will be photographing the things I get and the finished Makeup look when I get home, and giving you all an in depth post on the experience.

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!! This is the 1st time I will be experiencing anything like this. It sounds so fun.

I will be sure to fill you all in on all the tips and tricks I learn while I am there. I have already thought of a number of things I would like to learn.

Well I think thats all for this post. Comment below if you think of anything that I should ask when I go to Benefit.

Blogsale Purchase: Jesse's Girl + Lush Rant and Rave

Jesse's Girl is an American Brand so it's not available here in the UK unfortunately, so when I saw some on Becky's Blogsale a while ago I had to snap it up. I am always up for trying new makeup brands (I am sure most makeup addict's are exactly the same.)

I haven't used these things all that much yet but I thought it was about time showed it in a post. There are definitely some things in the collection that I really like. I will do a full review if you want (comment below and let me know) when I have had more of a play.

Now on to the Rant and Rave. You all know by now that I LOVE Lush but I have recently found one thing that I am Horribly Allergic to so I will NOT be repurchasing.
This product is a Dusting Powder. I know it was this product that gave me the reaction because I came up in red spots only on the area's I applied this.

The next product I apply every night before bed and it leaves my lips really soft and smooth the next morning. It is the Mint Julips Lip Scrub originally from Lush's Sister brand 'Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful.'
There are 2 others in the range. One called 'Bubblegum' which is supposed to smell exactly like Snow Fairy. It is also bright Pink in colour. The final one is called 'Sweet Lips' and smells like chocolate apparently.
I was going to get all 3 of these...but I had spent way to much money there (was only going to get these and spent £30 lol.) Also This Little Jar has 25grams of product, you need the tiniest little bit so it'll last a LONG time. I probably will get the others one day though hehe.

Okay I think I have come to the end of this post. If you have any questions or want reviews on anything let me know.

Benefit Rant

Just so you know this post is going to be part purchases part Jo having a rant. If you don’t like ranting blogs then don’t worry I will give you a warning so you have time to close the page.

I have been to the Benefit counter a few times now and purchased a fair amount. I don’t have a massive Benefit collection but I love all the products I have tried so far.

If I had done a post on this company before now I would have had nothing bad to say about them...until now.

When I last went to my local benefit counter I knew I wanted to get the Creaseless Cream Shadow in ‘Skinny Jeans'. I did get this..... eventually...

I was also looking forward to getting some more boxed powders as I really love these and I would love to collect them. I ended up getting the newest one in the collection called SugarBomb.

On arrival at the counter I noticed there was ONE girl there. She was busy giving a customer a makeover. Now, maybe this is just my opinion but I feel that if they are going to offer makeovers to customers then there should be at least 2 MUA's on the counter, one to concentrate on doing the makeup and one to concentrate on serving the customers.

This would allow the lady having her makeup done to enjoy the experience without having to be interrupted and allow the person buying to have a pleasant experience as well.

Mum and I were quite happy browsing to start with so that was fine, but once I had decided to buy something we were told to ‘wait a minute’. Don’t get me wrong I don’t mind waiting I just thought the way she said it was unprofessional.

Anyway...she eventually came over to me; I said I wanted to buy the Sugar Bomb boxed blush.

I then told her I wanted to get some others but I already owned Hoola and Coralista so I wanted to know what she recommended. Her reply SHOCKED me. She pointed to the Sugarbomb and said something like ‘well you have 2 blush colours and 2 bronze colours there plus the 2 you have already. It would be silly to buy more JUST FOR THE SAKE OF IT!!!!!’ Then she proceeded to carry on with the makeover without asking if there was anything else I wanted.

She made me feel very small and childlike so I stupidly turned away from the blushes. I couldn’t wait to leave the counter but I was determined to get the cream eye shadow as I have been wanting it for a long time.

Of course this meant interrupting her again. Mum went up to her again, said ‘excuse me’ she was completely ignored. She had to say it twice.

When she finally found the shadow she handed it to me then carried on with the makeup. Any other shop assistants or MUA’s that I have spoken to ask if there is anything else i want... Not this girl... She didn’t even take our money!! We had to go to the main Debenhams counter to pay. I wouldn’t have minded doing this if none of the above had happened or she said ‘would u mind paying over there’ but as it was that was just another thing to add to the list of annoyances.

Mum did say to me not to go there anymore and to just order from them online but I don’t know. I have met so many nice people there I feel it would be a shame to write the whole counter off just because of that one girl. I may carry on going there, but if that lady is there then I’ll avoid the counter like the plague lol.

Okay rant over!!

I really like the products I got especially the cream eyeshadow. I will definitely be buying more of them in the future..If u want a review let me know.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Comment below if you have had similar experiences at counters / stores or if you have any recommendations from Benefit.

Thanks for reading and Hope you enjoyed
