My name is Jo I am in my 20s and officially a makeup beauty Addict. I have always loved playing with makeup. However It was at the beginning of this year that I finally discovered my passion. I first got into makeup in a big way when I searched for something on Youtube. I typed in the search and found all these girls talking about and experimenting with makeup. From that day on I was hooked. I have made a couple of really good friends on youtube who encouraged me to start blogging. So as I am unable to make videos myself here I am. It's early days but I have some interesting things to come. If you have anything to say about any of my posts please feel free to leave a comment. Thanks Jo x

Sigma Brushes

For AGES now I've been promising to do my post about my Sigma Brushes so you will be glad to know I have finally found some time to sit down and tell you about them.

Sigma originally attracted my attention after watching some youtube videos from people saying they were just as good as Mac. (In fact some people said they were even BETTER!!)

This statement made me very curious as
I am a HUGE Mac Fan. However I was also very skeptical. Mac brushes are so good, I couldn't see how I would like another company's brushes any better. Especially as they were half the price.

A lot of people seem to think the more money you spend the better the product, this can be the case sometimes but not always.

I was pleasently surprised with Sigma. The brushes are very good quality for the money you pay. I wouldn't say they were 'better' than mac but as a whole I would definitely say the quality is just as good.

I am hoping to buy a couple of my favourites directly from Mac at some point then I will be able to do comparisons. For now I will just show you the brushes I have.

I wanted the Professional Complete Kit but decided to just go for the eye brushes as these would get the most use. If I liked them then I would expand my collection.

Sigma have recently changed their numbering system for their brushes. I will be referring to the brushes using their original names as I think you will all be more familiar with those. However I will be putting the new names in brackets for those of you that have only just become familiar with Sigma.

I opened my package to find this red mesh type bag.

Then when I opened there was a leaflet showing each of the brushes and their uses

SS239 (E55)

I use these flat shader type brushes all the time so I love this one

SS217 (E25) (Travel Version)

This is another brush that I absolutely Love using...I actually have 2 of these now

SS219 (E30)

This brush is great for applying eyeshadow to the lower lash line

SS266 (E65)

I can't really say much about this brush because I havent really had the need to use it. I will let you know if that changes.

SS224 (E40)

This is another one of my All time favourite types of brushes. It has flared out a bit from all the use....but it is still an excellant brush

SS209 (E05)

As with the SS266 I haven't used this brush that much so I can't say too much about it i'm afraid...I will try to use it more in the future.

SS252 (E60)

I have recently started using this brush for applying and blending cream shadows and it works really well

SS197 (F80)

This is a great brush my main use for it is cream foundation. It is great for for applying and buffing in...it would also work well for powder.

Well i think thats all i can say about these brushes at the moment but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE them.

I will definitely be getting more in the future.

Sorry it has taking me so long to get this post done...if you have any questions please feel free to ask in the comments.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed :)
